MedAmerica has a rigorous program for new contract start-up services, which thoroughly identifies the many important steps necessary for a successful start up and smooth transition. Contract start-up meetings pull together MedAmerica experts from every area and provide an efficient, “one-stop shopping” approach for the new contract. Key information is exchanged, tasks assigned and progress monitored through a weekly communication template.

A Business Operations Manager is assigned to each contract site and provides additional management and analytical support for the Medical Directors. This day-to-day business management support assists in monitoring the pulse of the client relationship and identifying opportunities to increase client satisfaction and enhance performance. The Business Operations Manager can help a Medical Director enhance the local practice environment by performing a comprehensive Operations Assessment, developing a plan of action, and working with the Medical Director to implement recommendations. Business Operations Managers can also facilitate interdisciplinary teams meetings such as Patient Satisfaction workgroups and Strategic Staff Retreats, provide Customer Service training, assist in orienting new providers and monitor the performance of the contract. This customized support has the advantage of tailoring recommendations to address the unique practice management needs of each contract.
