Health and Wellness

We provide comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage to full- and part-time employees, their eligible dependents, and/or their domestic partners.

Medical Plans

MedAmerica offers employees three medical plans to choose from:

  1. Blue Cross PPO Low Deductible Plan
  2. Blue Cross High Deductible Plan
  3. Pacific Care HMO

Dental Plan

MedAmerica offers employees dental care through the Blue Cross Prudent Buyer Plan.

Vision Plan

Vision insurance is provided through Vision Service Plan when an employee elects one of our medical plans.

Flu Shots

MedAmerica offers flu shots to employees each year in the Fall. Stay healthy!

Gym

There is a free on-site gym for use by MedAmerica employees. Come work out!

Mother’s Room

A private, quiet space is provided for mothers who are nursing.

Health Programs

MedAmerica’s Wellness Committee sponsors brown bag sessions on healthy eating, financial planning, green initiatives, and more, as well as offering a day-long annual Health Fair featuring speakers, massages, acupuncture treatments, cholesterol screenings, and a healthy lunch. The committee also helped establish MedAmerica’s popular monthly massage program through which employees can de-stress by signing up for massages at their own expense.

Also recognized for being a “Fit Friendly” company, MedAmerica has a stair-walking group, a lunchtime walking group, and a Biggest Loser competition.
